Update : Male charged with burglary

Update regarding arrest made for burglary on 18th June 2026.

At 0330 hrs on 18th June, police responded to an intruder alarm at Tescos, 335-337 Fulham Palace Road SW6. Arriving in less than 5 minutes, they discovered the premises had been subject to a burglary. Numerous other police officers were sent to the vicinity along with police dogs, to track the suspects. LBH&F Council CCTV operators were instrumental in guiding officers along the escape route the suspects had taken. Enquiries led them to an area around the West Kensington Estate where numerous items of stolen property were located, including money believed stolen during the burglary. Believing the suspects to still be close by, officers maintained their positions supported by CCTV operators. A couple of hours later, one suspect returned to the location and was detained. Matching the description on the CCTV, this male (Jay Adams) was arrested for burglary. 

Mr Jay Adams aged 34, was last night charged with this offence and remanded in custody to appear at court this morning. 

There are further lines of enquiry being followed in relation to other recent commercial burglaries in the Fulham area, including this offence as we believe there remains an outstanding suspect.

I would like to thank the response officers who showed determination in seeking the suspects yesterday. Along with the police dogs and council CCTV  crew, they worked for over two hours securing a perimeter to ensure the suspect did not escape. The volume of evidence collected led to our excellent investigation teams being able to secure a charge last night. Their work, in piecing together the evidence, interviewing the suspect and liaising with the CPS was superb. 

It serves as a warning to those offending in Hammersmith and Fulham. Our police officers supported by superb council staff working on CCTV cameras will stop at nothing in finding them.
